St. Vincent de Paul Parish joins with St. Mary’s Stony Hill in Watchung in offering bereavement sessions monthly on Saturday mornings at 10AM at the Parish Center at St. Mary's Parish. Parish Reconciliation 7PM

On Sunday morning, April 13th, the Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring their annual Easter Food Drive in support of St. Agnes Parish of Paterson. Donations will be accepted near the St. Vincent de Paul clock tower from 7:30 till noon.

The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring their annual Easter Bake Sale. Order forms can be found in the Narthex, on-line, or in the bulletin the weekend of April 5/6th. Pre-paid orders will only be accepted through Palm Sunday, April 13th. Your support will allow the Knights to continue their many Charitable good works.

Palms blessed last Palm Sunday may be brought to the vestibule of the church by Monday, March 3rd and placed in the basket there to be burned and prepared for use as ash on Ash Wednesday, March 5th.

With great humility and gratitude we give thanks to Almighty God for the most kind and generous parishioners of St. Vincent de Paul during the recent baby bottle drive to benefit Women in crisis pregnancies at Good Counsel Homes. More than $6,000 was raised for their benefit which far exceeded any expectation. We are a small parish, but great in generosity and care of those in need. May you be rewarded for your great kindness and act of almsgiving.

World Day of Prayer and Reflection Against Human Trafficking

Dear Friends, Our patron, the great Saint Vincent de Paul, preached the importance of “personal service” to the poor. You follow that practice. This Christmas Season your generosity was admirable. The Food Drive, Coats and Sweaters, and the Giving Tree, brought joy to families in Paterson, Elizabeth, Newark, and other locations. Generosity is a way of life. The strategy of focusing on the specific needs of specific people enables us to understand the “second greatest commandment” to love our neighbors as ourselves. You a loving people!
