Palms blessed last Palm Sunday may be brought to the vestibule of the church by Monday, March 3rd and placed in the basket there to be burned and prepared for use as ash on Ash Wednesday, March 5th.

With great humility and gratitude we give thanks to Almighty God for the most kind and generous parishioners of St. Vincent de Paul during the recent baby bottle drive to benefit Women in crisis pregnancies at Good Counsel Homes. More than $6,000 was raised for their benefit which far exceeded any expectation. We are a small parish, but great in generosity and care of those in need. May you be rewarded for your great kindness and act of almsgiving.

Dear Friends, Our patron, the great Saint Vincent de Paul, preached the importance of “personal service” to the poor. You follow that practice. This Christmas Season your generosity was admirable. The Food Drive, Coats and Sweaters, and the Giving Tree, brought joy to families in Paterson, Elizabeth, Newark, and other locations. Generosity is a way of life. The strategy of focusing on the specific needs of specific people enables us to understand the “second greatest commandment” to love our neighbors as ourselves. You a loving people!
