On Saturday, 6/21, seven schoolchildren were baptized during a mass celebrated by Fr. Theo and Fr. Jean Robert Emmanuel, pastor at nearby parish St. Michael the Archangel. Since the opening of the school in 2023 until now, thirty children from the school have been baptized.

Bishop Sweeney has authorized a Diocesan-wide food collection in all parishes and agencies on the Feast of Corpus Christi, Saturday/Sunday, June 21st -22nd. We have been asked to provide Paper Towels and Cold Cereal. Monetary donations will also be accepted and can be made online at www.ccpaterson.org/corpus Thank you in advance for your care and concern for the poorest among us.

As part of our efforts to better serve our community, St Vincent de Paul Parish is undertaking a project to update demographic information to ensure that we have accurate and current information for all our parishioners. The last time this was done was in 2000. It should take no more than a few minutes of your time and will help us to better serve the needs of all our parishioners.

It is with deep sorrow that we share the news of the passing of our beloved parish secretary, Vera Castagna, who entered eternal rest May 7th. Please keep Vera, John, Maria, Laura and all those who love her in your prayers during this difficult time. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. St. Vincent de Paul Parish joins with St. Mary’s Stony Hill in Watchung in offering bereavement sessions monthly on Saturday mornings at 10AM at the Parish Center at St. Mary's Parish.
